What we do

The Victorian Showmen’s Guild is a registered organisation under Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Act 2009 and has been registered since 1945.

An objective of the Victorian Showmen’s Guild is to promote and conserve the common interests of its Members who are travelling Showmen; to aid and assist in the advancement and improvement of conditions in any way relating to the business of Showmen for the general welfare and benefit of Members.

Our organisation through its Members is the preferred supplier of rides, amusements, games and canteens to Agricultural Shows throughout Victoria, based on the longstanding agreement the Victorian Showmen’s Guild has with Victorian Agricultural Shows (VAS Ltd).

It is our aim to work in closely with VAS Ltd and Victorian Show Societies to advance the Agricultural Show Movement.

Our Members provide the Show-going public the experience and enjoyment of the Carnival through the latest technology in amusements, rides and equipment equal to any in the world.

The Victorian Showmen’s Guild Members are professional Showmen, and comply with relevant National, State and local laws, occupational health and safety, insurance and risk assessment requirements, along with our Code of Conduct and the Rules of the organisation, governed by FairWork Commission, Registered Organisations Commission (ROC).

Our Members are travelling Showmen and women who, for many generations, have travelled Victoria and Australia-wide bringing excitement, joy and all the thrills to country shows, city capital and Royal shows, major and community events and festivals.
