Reimbursement of showground rental and other eligible approved expenses for Ag Shows held between 1 July 2021 – 31 May 2022 must be applied for by either the Showmen’s Guild’s/Associations for the defined amusement area, or the Ag Show Societies for all other eligible travelling Showmen and women and/or Show businesses.
The Showmen’s Guild or Association, and/or Ag Show Society must then reimburse the eligible travelling Showmen and women or Show businesses and provide evidence of the delivery of the reimbursements to the VSG.
To claim the rental and approved expenses Showmen’s Guilds/Associations and Ag Show Societies must:
- Check the program eligibility details for Ag Show Societies and Australian travelling Showmen and Women and Show businesses to ensure eligibility criteria is satisfied to access the program.
If you are unsure if an Itinerant trader is eligible please ask them to complete FORM 8 and include with your submission.
- Showmen’s Guilds/Association to complete FORM 5 and
- Ag Show Societies to complete FORM 6
- Attach supporting evidence of rentals and approved costs paid by eligible showmen and women who attended Ag Shows held during 1 July 2021 to 31 May 2022 for verification. This evidence may be copies of invoices or receipts from the Ag Show Society.
- Once approved, the Showmen’s Guild/Association or Ag Show Society will receive the funds, enabling them to provide refunds to eligible travelling Showmen and women and/or Show businesses.
- Showmen’s Guild/Association or Ag Show Society must complete FORM 7 – DECLARATION and provide statements/evidence to the VSG to prove delivery of reimbursements. This evidence could be through a statement of transfer, remittance advice or another reasonable method to prove refunds were remitted to eligible travelling Showmen and women and/or Show businesses.

Supporting Agricultural Showmen and Women – Showground Rental Relief program, is administered by Victorian Showmen’s Guild on behalf of the Department of Agriculture Fisheries and Forestry. The program is designed to provide rental relief to travelling showmen and women at eligible agricultural shows in country and regional Australia.
