Apply for Rental Relief 

Eligible travelling Showmen and women and Show businesses may receive Showground rental relief at eligible Australian Agricultural Shows held between 1 June 2022 and 30 June 2023.

Ag Show Societies must apply to the VSG for Showground rental and approved associated costs based on their agreements
with the Showmen’s Guild/Association or eligible travelling Show businesses participating at eligible Ag Shows held between
1 June 2022 – 30 June 2023.

To claim the Showground rental and approved expenses you must:

• Check the program eligibility details for Ag Show Societies and showmen and women to ensure eligibility criteria is satisfied to access the program. If you are unsure if an Itinerant trader is eligible please ask them to complete FORM 8 and include with your submission.
• 30 days (or more) prior to Show, Showmen’s Guild/Association manage or negotiate rental agreement with Ag Show Society.
• During Show bump in Showmen’s Guild/Association Delegates to complete FORM 1 on behalf of travelling Showmen and women attending the show within the defined amusement area.
• Showmen’s Guild/Association Delegates provide a copy of FORM 1 to the Ag Show Society who must check the agreement information and co-sign FORM 1 and each party retains a copy of FORM 1 for their records..

*** Note, Showmen’s Guild / Association Delegates are not required to collect rental fees or other payments from Showmen’s Guild / Association Members. ***

• Ag Show Societies must complete FORM 2 for eligible Itinerant Traders (eligible Showmen and women or Show businesses operating on ground-space allocated to them by the Show Society for example: showbag operator).
• Ag Show Societies are to collate information from FORMS 1 & 2 and submit with FORM 3 and include their invoice to:

• The package of Forms and Invoice will then be verified by the VSG
• Once verified, payment will be made to the Ag Show Society with remittance advice sent to the nominated Ag Show Society email on FORM 3.

IMPROTANT NOTE FOR SHOWMEN’S GUILD / ASSOCIATION

• Showmen’s Guilds / Association are eligible to apply for Ground Administration Fees to be paid by the SASW Program for eligible Ag Shows. 

• To apply for Ground Administration please see the Apply for Ground Administration Fees section of on this website and complete FORM 4 and submit to VSG for approval and payment.

Supporting Agricultural Showmen and Women – Showground Rental Relief program, is administered by Victorian Showmen’s Guild on behalf of the Department of Agriculture Fisheries and Forestry. The program is designed to provide rental relief to travelling showmen and women at eligible agricultural shows in country and regional Australia.
